A recent report revealed that sooner or later galaxies in the universe will not be able to give birth to new stars. According to this report, reason behind this change is that there is lack of hydrogen gas and few other gases to produce new stars. As soon as these gasses will disappear, galaxies in the universe will lose one of the key ingredients to produce stars. This study was done by Robert Braun who is head of the research team and Francois Combes. Francis Combes is co-author of this study.
Research team headed by Robert Braun compared level of molecules of hydrogen gas. These molecules collectively form clouds and from these clouds stars are produced. With the aid of Paris Observatory, CISRO astronomy and university of Western Australia, Robert was able to measure molecules of hydrogen that was present billions of years ago in the galaxy. This was possible because of the fact that the celestial body existing far away is younger than the closer ones.
